We are humbled and so appreciative of the overwhelming response to the Relief Fund campaign for Lebanon, and specifically Beirut residents, following the devastating explosion last month.

Our community of family and friends have raised over R 1 000 000, and this has enabled us to make significant contributions to the four selected charities and non-profit organisations we communicated early on in the campaign, namely Caritas, The Red Cross, Solidarity and Arc-en-Ciel. All these organisations are active on the ground and greatly appreciative of the help from South Africa and Southern Africa.

We received a request for food supplies and arranged for a 12-foot container to be loaded with non-perishable supplies and depart Durban port for Beirut this month. It will be cleared and distributed by Caritas personnel in Beirut ensuring that it gets to the residents directly.
